BANK workers have created a stunning new garden for a Westhoughton nursery school. A team of eight Barclays employees from Manchester North Corporate Banking and Manchester Area Retail Team have worked on St George's Nursery School, Westhoughton, as part of the bank's employee volunteering programme.
The employees helped build an archway and build a circular bench round an apple tree which was planted to create shade.
Rachel Herbinson, Barclays community manager for the North-west, said: "We are committed to communities and we are delighted to support St George's. We hope it will make a real and lasting difference."
Nursery teacher Vanna Gidney said: "All the children love our new garden and it will enhance their visual and sensory experiences."
