SPORTY staff from Bolton Council put their best forward and ran a mile inside the town hall to raise cash for Sport Relief.
Up to 16 people from the One Stop Shop took part in the fun run relay, in which they had to pass a red sock to their teammates.
Yesterday's run was part of the borough's contribution to raising funds for the BBC appeal.
Bolton Council customer services officer Clare Henderson said: "This was our way to have some fun and raise some cash at the same time.
"We wanted to do something as a team and everyone from One Stop Shop got involved. We have had a brilliant time."
One Stop Shop is the customer service point for residents, based at Bolton Town Hall.
The service was set up last December.
People across the country are taking part in the one-mile runs this weekend to raise awareness of illness and disease.
The one-mile run normally takes about four minutes - the time experts believe it takes for 20 people to die from Aids.
