I'M in opposition to the plans to develop the land around the War Memorial.
I have lived in Dunscar since 1996 and pass the memorial every evening, and I have never seen any problems to do with drug users and tearaways in this area. The problem is outside the Co-op at Bromley Cross, where they can shelter, not at the War Memorial where poppy wreaths stay for months, respected by young and old. As for fly tipping, I haven't seen much litter at all and the field at the Memorial has been used for years by a horse for grazing. There is a lot of wildlife and I often see foxes, owls and even a buzzard.
