GROUPS in Bolton who are working to help disadvantaged young people and adults gain access to computer training and skills can apply for new funding.
The groups are being invited to apply for Microsoft Community Learning Awards, a new scheme which will provide 25 awards of £2,000 to UK-based community and voluntary groups in 2004.
The awards will provide IT training through supporting informal training projects that introduce the technology to these young people and adults in the most appropriate way.
The deadline for applications is August 9. To apply, visit www.ukcommunityawards.com.
