A SCHEME to help recycle furniture and white goods for disadvantaged families will be extended after a National Lottery grant.
Bolton Community Transport and Furniture Service has been handed £51,000 from the Lottery to allow it to collect more household furniture and household appliances such as washing machines - but not fridges.
Managers of the scheme say it will reduce the amount of waste being taken to landfill sites and allow them to offer low-price white goods to disadvantaged families.
To donate furniture or white goods to the project, contact on 01204 364777 or visit www.bctfs.co.uk.
