PEOPLE are being urged to buy a brick to raise money for a Horwich church's restoration fund.
Members of New Chapel United Reformed Church and local community members have already raised more than £500 through the scheme.
People can buy a brick in memory of a loved one for £5, with proceeds going towards the £100,000 needed to refurbish the New Chapel Lane church.
The building, which dates back to 1716, is in need of modernisation and lacks disabled access, suitable toilets and a kitchen.
Major refurbishment work will include an extension to the side of the church to house the kitchen and toilets, installation of disabled access including a ramp and hand rails, and redecoration of the main church.
For details or to buy a brick, contact Doreen Evans on 01204 696648.
