BIRDS of prey swooped overhead as visitors enjoyed the attractions at the Moses Gate Country Fair.
Hawks, falcons, owls and eagles were put through their paces in a fantastic display for visitors.
African drumming troupe Osagyefo welcomed the Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Prentice Howarth, who opened the event.
The Bourbon Street Roof Raisers Jazz Band jived away to add to the multicultural musical atmosphere at the second country fair.
Children were kept entertained by a fun train ride, a fair, face painting and a Punch and Judy show.
People got the chance to have a go at unicycling, juggling and how to walk the stilts at an interactive circus skills workshop.
And a sponsored dog walk helped keep the whole family entertained.
Andy Bailey, country park ranger and organiser of the fair, said: "Despite the poor weather, people have turned out to enjoy the country fair. We've had a magnificent response from people about the falconry display and the interactive circus workshop.
"The African drummers band went down really well with the public, who welcomed the Mayor to the park as she opened the show.
"It's been great to see so many people enjoying the festivities. We will definitely be back next year, where we want to involve as many local people as possible in the event."
