A MAN has appeared in court accused of racially aggravated behaviour towards a taxi driver.
Oliver Owen Faughey, aged 51, of Woodward Close, Bury, denied using threatening and abusive words and behaviour towards Mahmood Arif likely to provoke violence in The Haymarket in Bury town centre.
Bury magistrates adjourned the case to September 7 when Faughey will be committed to stand trial at Bolton Crown Court. He was granted bail.
