Horwich residents have one week left to return applications for Horwich in Bloom.
The town council's annual gardening competition is aimed at improving the street scene in Horwich, and all applicants will receive free spring bulbs.
Six categories are available: front gardens, containers (which must be visible from the road), allotments, shops and businesses, public houses and clubs, and places of worship, residential homes, day centres and sheltered housing.
Special prizes will be on offer to new entrants, and a trophy will be presented to the best disabled entrant.
Entries must be submitted to the Public Hall, Lee Lane, by July 23.
Judging will take place the week beginning August 2, and results will be announced soon afterwards.
For details contact the town clerk on 01204 338900.
