FOR the first time in more than 20 years the legendary Simon and Garfunkel play a gig in Manchester on Wednesday
The duo play at the MEN Arena before heading to London for an open-air concert in Hyde Park on Thursday.
The singers split in 1970 and reunited in 1981 for a concert in New York's Central Park.
They did not play together again until 1993, when they got together for a series of concerts in New York and then performed at the Grammy Awards in 2003.
Their Manchester concert kicks off the European leg of their Old Friends tour, which includes dates in France, Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, The Netherlands and Italy.
