I'M currently convalescing after a hip operation and generally better in health than temper.
Daytime TV is not really helping and desperation is driving me into deep conversations with the cat. A friend, however, kindly lent me the boxed video set of the old series "We'll Meet Again" which I've been rationing to an hour a day.
All that wonderful wartime spirit is heartwarming, and the series made me realise just how poor many of the current programmes are. Bring back all that brilliant drama and ditch reality TV right now.
Millions will switch on again and programming will get a shot in the arm. In the meantime, there are only Fern and Philip and the wonderful Knorr panda adverts to cheer me up.
