THE Tory campaign moved to Ainsworth when one of the region's MEPs visited the village.
Den Dover, who defends his seat in the June 10 Euro poll, was out canvassing with party members and local election hopefuls.
Mr Dover occupies the number one slot on the Conservatives' list of candidates. Also confident of being re-elected is MEP David Sumberg, well-known to locals as former MP for Bury South, who is number two on the list.
The Tories are campaigning on a Putting Britain First plank. They want to cut Euro red tape to help industry and business, crack down on EU fraud and waste, and they say their opposition forced Tony Blair to hold a referendum on the new European constitution.
