MAY I through your paper express my sincere thanks and gratitude to Chorley Borough Council and the Environment Warden Service for the prompt and efficient service that I received from them.
They removed a large wagonload; yes, I mean a large load of conifer clippings, which some inconsiderate person thought I needed dumping at the rear of my property.
I rang the council at 4.40pm on Thursday last and by 7pm the wardens had been and removed them. How is that for service? One hundred per cent, I would say. Without this service I would have had a real problem to cope with.
The staff at the council offices and the wardens were extremely polite and helpful. Well done Chorley Borough Council and the wardens. Keep up the good work, your service is much appreciated.
To the fly-tipper: The next time you have a wagonload of conifers I would appreciate it if you would use the tip provided like any other law-abiding citizen.
There will be a charge, of course, but I presume you already knew that.
