MORE than 35,000 fireworks are being loaded onto the roof of Liverpool's Anglican Cathedral by a 225 foot tall crane in preparation for a massive display on Sunday.
It is part of the celebrations to mark the 100th anniversary of the laying of the cathedral's foundation stone.
The firework display is thought to be the largest ever in Liverpool and the largest in Europe in 2004 to be fired from a single building.
The 20-minute display will be performed to music on Sunday at 10.15pm and, weather permitting, will be seen from up to 30 miles away.
