SUNNINGHILL Primary School in Daubhill has been crowned Robo-soccer champions after winning a Bolton wide tournament.
Year six pupils at the Goldsmith Street school have spent the last year competing against scores of other schools in a Robo Soccer tournament run at the Bolton Wanderers Study Centre at the Reebok Stadium, Horwich.
Youngsters play robo soccer by controlling small computer operated robots as they play a game of soccer.
Headteacher Paul Read said: "The children were absolutely delighted. We are really pleased with them as they did most of the playing in their own time."
Teacher Jan Sloan organised the school's involvement in the tournament.
