A TEENAGER was injured after he crashed a Mercedes sports car after reaching speeds of more than 100mph during a police pursuit early on Friday.
Officers on patrol in Manchester Road, Bury, spotted the speeding green Mercedes coupe at around 2.20am and attempted to stop it.
The driver drove off at speed and a short distance later, it collided with a wall at the junction of Pilsworth Road.
The 17-year-old, who was from the Sunnybank area, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for a broken arm and a severe fracture to his leg.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: "His injuries are not believed to be life threatening."
Manchester Road was closed for a short time as a result of the accident.
