STAFF at Althams Travel did their bit for the tourism industry - by promoting British holidays.
As well as adopting a UK decorative theme for the day, a representative from coach holidays operator Alfa was in store to answer questions and promote UK travel with the 2005 brochure.
The push at Althams, in Brackley Street, Farnworth, comes as Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell announced the publication of Tomorrow's Tourism Today, a joint UK tourism prospectus from the Department for Culture Media and Sport, the travel industry, and local government.
Ms Jowell also announced the establishment of the Tourism Review and Implementation Group. Chaired by Tourism Minister Richard Caborn, it will oversee and monitor delivery in the four key areas and report within one year.
