I THINK it is totally disgusting to even think about moving the War Memorial.
It is a vital part of our history and if it wasn't for the men that fought our Great Wars we wouldn't be the country we are today.
If the War Memorial is taken down at Dunscar, where will they choose to build next. On our cemeteries? On the War Memorial outside the Town Hall?
Does the desecration of our memorials warrant new houses?
I am a 25-year-old man who lives in our town who knows the importance of keeping such memorials to remind us how fortunate we are. There are plenty of old derelict sites within the Bolton borough for new houses. Why pick a site of remembrance!
