LANCS Road Club veteran cyclists competed in a weekend double header promoted by Derwent Valley CC - a 10 mile time trial on Saturday, followed by a 25 mile race on Sunday.
The club's best result on Saturday went to Alex Munro's 25:34 which was good enough to give him first place in the O70s category, while Colin Greenhalgh at 25:33 was second in the 60s.
In the Sunday race the pair were joined by Ron Entwistle, Stan Simister, and Phil Rowley and Derek Pritchard on the tandem.
Stan's time of 1:9:08 was his best for over nine years. Fastest for the club were Rowley and Pritchard in a time of 1:00:55, while the fastest solo rider was Entwistle with 1:4:43.Greenhalgh 1:6:27 and Munro were the clubs other riders finishing in 1:6:27 and 1:7:33 respectively. Alex's time was good enough for first O70 for the second day running.
Last weekend Frank Kerry and Munro were the club's only finishers in the club championship 100, in times of 4:42:56 and 5:06:03.
