A FOOTBALL tournament and "bad taste" fancy dress party will take place on Sunday, August 8, in memory of a young man who died from leukaemia.
Peter Catterall, aged 22, of Bromley Cross, had spent four years being treated at Christie's and his friends want to honour his memory by raising money for the hospital. The tournament will be held at Eagley Sports Club at 2pm, continuing at the Spread Eagle pub, Hough Lane, where 'style policemen' will hand out forfeits to people dressed normally.
An auction, including a holiday and sports memorabilia, and raffle will be held.
