MOTORISTS will face major delays in Astley Bridge while work is carried out to renew water mains next month.
Blackburn Road will be reduced to one lane on all approaches except from Crompton Way's westbound carriageway.
There will also be no right turn from Blackburn Road's southbound carriageway on to Moss Bank Way.
A diversion will be in operation while United Utilities carry out the work from August 7 to 10.
Work on resurfacing Poplar Avenue, in Astley Bridge will also begin next month. It is due to continue until August 17.
Further disruption will be caused by water mains renewal work which will disrupt traffic in Burnden for twelve weeks at the end of this month.
United Utilities will be carrying out work on Green Lane from July 31 to October 1.
