CHARITY runners in Bolton's Race For Life look set to top Cancer Research's target for sponsorship cash.
Early figures indicate that the run, at Leverhulme Park last month, has already raised more than £34,500, with most of the sponsorship money still to be submitted.
The charity hopes to raise £90,000 when all the cash is in - £40,000 more than last year's figure.
More than 2,000 women took part in the run at the Breightmet park, compared to 1,300 runners in the 2003 race.
