BOLTON-based MEP Gary Titley has called on the UK Independence Party to disown one of its newly elected Euro-MPs who made disparaging remarks about women.
Godfrey Bloom, who represents Yorkshire and Humber, declared that "no respecting small businessman with a brain would ever employ a lady of child-bearing age" - after revealing he would be joining the Women's Rights Committee.
He added that he wanted to deal with women's issues because "they don't clean behind the fridge" often enough.
Mr Titley, Labour's leader in Europe, said: "He has insulted millions of women."
