FOUR former Bolton Olympians will see off Britain's only boxer in the Olympics, Amir Khan.
Bolton's Amir will be joined at a special reception in the Mayor's Parlour at Bolton Town Hall by the former medal winners.
Their sporting careers span five decades and they include swimmer Anthony Howard, who represented Britain in the 2000 Games in Sydney, and wrestler Albert Aspen, who took part in the Rome and Tokyo Olympics of 1960 and 1964. Also in attendance will be weightlifter Jim Halliday, a competitor in the 1948 Games in London, and Paul Morris, a wrestler in the 1988 Olympics in Seoul.
The Mayor, Cllr Prentice Howarth, will wish Amir luck for this year's Athens Games at the reception on Monday.
