A 70-YEAR-OLD man who collapsed and died in River Street, Bolton, on Friday night, is believed to have suffered a heart attack.

A post mortem examination is due to be carried out on the pensioner on Tuesday to confirm it was natural causes but police say his death is not being treated as suspicious.

He has been named as Ronald Smith, of Spotland Tops, Rochdale.

Ambulance crews were called to the scene at around 9.30pm but attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful.
