BOLTON Connexions is making sure young people have plenty to keep them entertained during the school summer holiday and is once again arranging a series of events and projects, funded by the Positive Activities for Young People scheme (PAYP).
There will be music, sports, arts and crafts taking place across the entire borough as well as the return of popular initiatives.
One of the new schemes is free kids gym sessions at Smithills Sports Centre, open to 11 to 15-year-olds between 11am and 1pm and 1pm to 3pm between July 26 and August 20. To book call 01204 467200.
Castle Hill Library will also be joining the PAYP projects with various reading activities for eight to 13-year-olds.
Free swimming sessions at community leisure centres will be available for all under 18-year-olds.
Other popular activities on offer include music workshops with Harmony Youth Project; football coaching with the Wanderers Football in the community scheme; and free skateboarding sessions at Bones skate park, Deane.
