I AM writing regarding the new laws imposed in Bolton town centre recently and how much I, and a lot of people I know, disagree with them.
The skateboarders who stay on the Town Hall Square to meet their friends don't skate on the Square, they go to the skatepark and do it there. It is mainly others who pass through on skateboards who cause the nuisance.
The new law discriminates against us just for wanting to sit on the public benches to talk to our friends.
The police claim that we are "intimidating groups of youths", when we are merely doing what anyone else would on a sunny day.
Maybe it would help if the police would occasionally stay around the area of the Town Hall steps, and see that it is not the "people dressed in black" causing the bother. On Thursday the police walked right past when one of my friends was being tormented and had her hair set on fire by somebody who had never met her before.
Start looking for the real troublemakers, instead of those who have done nothing wrong.
