A 17 STRONG team from high street bar group Yates has raised £10,000 for charity after scaling Britain's three highest mountains in under 24 hours.
They completed the Three Peaks Challenge - which has a 24-hour time limit - in 23 hours 23 minutes. Starting with 4,408ft Ben Nevis in Scotland, the team followed it up with a climb of the Lake District's Scafell Pike at 3,210ft, finishing with 3,560ft Snowdon, in Wales. Two Board members - operations director David Crabtree and company secretary Dominic Kay - took part. Money raised will be donated to the neonatal intensive care unit at Glasgow's Princess Royal Maternity Hospital.
