IN the letter from Mr P Brennan, (Bolton Evening News, March 24), there is a presumption that the Higher Islamic Education Institute will present a revised plan for a Boarding College at Wingates and that this would engage residents in a fresh campaign to protect Green Belt.
Despite its lying in so designated an area, Ormstons Farm has Brownfield potential.
As with other similar sites, for instance, a recent structure on Plodder Lane replacing that formerly occupying the site but more obtrusive and next to green belt.
Why shouldn't a farmer, having spent his working life, acting as custodian of the land that others enjoy and take for granted, try to make provision for his retirement as with other occupations?
Mr Brennan offers "advice to the Trustees to make plans for some other (Brownfield) site".
Where?
