A FUND-RAISING night to help sick unborn children is being held in Bolton on Saturday.
A musical showcase, hosted by Wanderers mascot Lofty the Lion, will take place at the Lady of Lourdes Club, Plodder Lane, Farnworth, starting at 7.30pm.
Lofty is flying to the US in the autumn to trek around the Grand Canyon as part of the campaign to raise £100,000 for a special 3D scanner.
The scanner can detect abnormalities in unborn children, identifying the possible need for operations.
Lofty will fly to the Grand Canyon on October 9 with Wanderers as his main sponsor.
To help him on his way, Cllr Noel Spencer, chairman of Bolton at Home, hopes to make the ladies swoon on Saturday with his popular renditions of Frank Sinatra hits.
Bolton's Pop Idol reject Suleman Khan, who has since undergone voice training, will also perform hits from Thriller.
Tickets are £4 for adults and £2 for concessions and are available from Melissa on 07787-788505.
