TEENAGE pregnancy rates are higher in seaside resorts, according to a study by the University of Liverpool.
Researchers said young people were easily exploited by the drinking culture and "sun, sea and casual sex" atmosphere of holiday destinations. Secondary school children, young parents and temporary workers were interviewed during the two-year study.
Lecturer Stephanie Petrie said the entertainment industry had "little concern" for the needs of young people.
