AROUND 150 vintage cars descended on Bolton over the weekend as part of a charity fun-drive.
The Tame Valley Vintage and Classic Car Club rally stopped off in Bolton town centre and at the Reebok stadium along the way as drivers raised money for the Brain and Spinal Injury Charity at Hope Hospital in Salford.
Also among vehicles taking part were a collection of Crossley Cars - which were all manufactured in Manchester in the 1930s.
Among the vehicles were a 1912 Austin, and a classic 1970 RAC Morris Minor breakdown van, driven by Widnes RAC patrol man Phil Butler and his wife Janet.
The RAC vintage vehicle is still in working order and was on hand to assist stranded motorists during the run alongside a modern day RAC Ford Transit patrol van.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Prentice Howarth, was picked up along the route, which began at Mecca Bingo in Belle Vue, Manchester.
The cavalcade travelled along the A6, finally ending up at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum in Leyland.
