BOLTON Catholic music and Choral Society has assembled a young cast for their next production -- Oklahoma.
All the principals are in their late teens and early twenties.
Jean Morgan, vice-chairman of the society said: "We are very proud that our major production of the year is spearheaded by young people, all of whom are talented actors with extremely good voices.
"The remainder of the cast are the existing members of the society, and they too are very proud to support such a talented principal line-up."
Two of the lead roles are taken by sisters Louisa and Charlotte Unsworth who moved to the senior section from the youth section.
Louisa, aged 19, who plays Laurie, is at Huddersfield University studying music, and Charlotte, aged 17, cast as Ado Annie, is studying for her A-levels.
Their parents Clare and Patrick have been active members of BCMCS for many years. Eighteen years ago the couple took the leading roles of Laurie and Curly in Oklahoma.
Patrick is the chairman and Clare secretary of BCMCS.
The show's director is Robert Margolis, a newcomer to Bolton Catholics'; choreographer is Barbara Grant, and David Wilson and Craig Smith are in charge of the music.
Oklahoma will run at the Albert Halls, Bolton, from October 26 to 30. Tickets are on sale from August 13 from Jean Morgan on 01254 671914.
