IPARKED my car ysterday on the market car park at 1.53pm and paid £1 for two hours parking. On my return I had a ticketwhich was issued at 2.49pm.

I had parked correctly, and displayed my ticket on the windscreen. My car has a purpose plastic clip to display such tickets.

The traffic warden was still, there so I asked him why, showing him the tickets. He got out his camera to show me that my windscreen had a shaded area approximately quarter of an inch around the edge. On the camera this showed quarter of an inch of the right side off the ticket dark, but to the naked eye all the ticket was plainly visible.

He agreed that I had paid and was in good time, so why did he give me the ticket.

Having shopped on the market, I have noticed that lots of the fruit and veg stalls are disappearing -- it is no wonder when you cannot legally park there without a ticket.

I have read in the Bolton Evening News often about such vigilante traffic wardens who must have some hard targets to reach, no wonder shoppers like me will not be going into Bolton again if possible.

I feel sorry for the shopkeepers, who have no chance when you have parking attendants like this.
