MODEL teenager Kelly Entwistle has returned to her Smithills home from Switzerland after a glamorous modelling assignment for a top fashion magazine.

The fresh-faced sixteen-year-old spent three days on location at Lake Geneva as the star of a photoshoot for Elle magazine.

The assignment was her first ever real modelling job, as part of a two-year contract which she landed after winning the Evian Natural Beauty contest last week. She beat off hundreds of other hopefuls from across the UK in the Evian Natural Beauty contest, which she read about in the Bolton Evening News.

Kelly, who has just left Canon Slade School, and is still waiting for the results of her GCSE exams, was accompanied on the trip by her mum Tracy.

They were flown out to Switzerland last week, and spent a day sightseeing while modelling bosses chose the most picturesque Alpine locations, before a two-day stint in front of the camera. Kelly travelled into the Alps to pose in front of a mountain backdrop, as well as sitting on rocks next to a picturesque waterfall, and being made to stand in a pond.

Kelly had to get up before sunrise on two days so photographers could achieve the best light, and spent eleven hours modelling on the main day of the shoot.

The pictures, which are intended to portray natural beauty, will be used in a spread by the magazine, and as promotional shots for Evian water.

She was looked after by a team of make-up artists, stylists and fashion consultants as the only model on the shoot.

Although a little nervous, Kelly, from Smithills, says she enjoyed the trip immensely.

She said: "I was a bit nervous as I have never done anything like this before, but it was great. I'd love to make a career out of it, if the chance arose.

"We saw some beautiful places that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. It was quite tiring, but I didn't have to pose too much as they wanted natural looking pictures."

Kelly is set to travel to London tomorrow to meet bosses at top modelling agency Select, to discuss her future. The agency boasts actress Sienna Miller, the girlfriend of film star Jude Law, among the models on its books.

If Kelly is taken on full-time by Select, she will move to London to share an apartment with other models being chaperoned by agency staff.

She said: "I've been told they are one of the best companies to be with. I would happily move to London, as it is a once in a lifetime chance, but I will miss my friends and family a lot."
