A MAN suffering from mental health problems hanged himself at his home in Walkden.
An inquest heard how 60-year-old Arthur Lord was found dead at his house in Brackley Street by a neighbour.
Coroner Jennifer Leeming was told how the former painter and decorator had suffered from schizophrenia for many years but his condition deteriorated in January and he spent some time in hospital as a voluntary patient.
He was allowed home on February 11 after showing signs of improvement.
Neighbour John Flannery, who helped look after Mr Lord, discovered his body shortly after 6pm on Friday, February 13.
Mrs Leeming recorded a verdict of accidental death. She said she believed Mr Lord hanged himself because he was feeling delusional but he had not intended to do it.
