POLICE are trying to trace a missing Bolton girl who disappeared from her sister's home over a week ago.
They say they are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of 14-year-old Gemma Moran.
Gemma was last seen on July 30 in Roseneath Grove, Bolton, where she had been staying with her sister.
She normally lives at a local authority care home in Carnforth, Lancashire.
She is believed to be vulnerable and police are concerned that she has not made contact with her family.
Police believe that Gemma could still be in the Bolton area, although she may have travelled to Manchester.
She is described as white, of slim build, with blue eyes and straight, light brown, shoulder-length hair. She has a Bolton accent and was last seen wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue tracksuit top with thin blue piping along the sleeves and light blue tracksuit bottoms.
Officers are urging Gemma, or anyone who knows her whereabouts, to contact Bolton Police on 0161 872 5050.
