A NEW business suffered a major setback after a fire on Wednesday night.
Firefighters were called to a cabin - due to become a sales office for a used car business - in Bury Road, Tonge Fold, at 9.20pm. Crews spent three hours fighting the blaze.
The fire was caused by an electrical fault underneath the structure and firefighters had to wait for United Utilities to cut the supply before entering.
The temporary cabin, opposite the Pentecostal Church, was wrecked.
Sub officer Karsten Boyle, of Bolton North Fire Station, said: "We have spoken to the owner this morning and he is absolutely devastated. Apparently his new business was already three months behind schedule."
