A MAN from Zimbabwe who came to Bolton to start a new life took his own life after a string of personal problems, an inquest was told.
Richard Zuimunya, aged 30, of Levins Drive, Breightmet, was found dead in his bed by police in December last year after he took an overdose of anti-depressant drugs. The inquest heard that Mr Zuimunya had recently separated from his wife, was due to appear in court for drink driving offences and was suffering from depression.
The former labourer had only moved to Bolton from Zimbabwe in January last year.
The inquest heard that police had conducted a full investigation but found that there were no suspicious circumstances. Coroner Jennifer Leeming said that the many personal problems suffered by Mr Zuimunya might have been too much for him to handle.
Mrs Leeming concluded that Mr Zuimunya took his own life while the balance of his mind was disturbed.
