WHAT is wrong with people these days when a wheelchair-bound young lady is attacked and no one goes to her aid (sounds about right for this day and age)?
A few years ago a friend and I were walking down Brackley Street when we were almost knocked over by a young man trying to break away from two male members of ASDA staff. By the time we got to the bottom of the street all three men were on the ground. People then stood and did nothing.
I asked the ASDA men if anyone had phoned the police, they said no, and asked me to, which I did. The police arrived and we walked away to a lot of booing (I couldn't have cared less).
To stand around and do nothing is disgusting. I believe what goes around comes around. Maybe one day those bystanders will need help and won't get any.
Best wishes, I hope the young lady soon gets her confidence back.
Good luck girl.
