FORMER pupils of Leigh Grammar School have organised a golden reunion.
Boys who started there on September 1, 1954, are invited to catch up on each other's lives -- exactly half-a-century later.
Already 30 old boys have signed-up for the get-together at Leigh Conservative Club and organiser Ian Watkinson is looking for more.
A regular at the Old Leighians' March reunions and a former pupil of Form 1D, Ian said the idea was inspired by a meeting of old boys and as word spread more showed an interest.
He added that some schoolmates were found through Friends Reunited but there were still many in the Leigh, Atherton and Tyldesley area who might be interested.
The reunion starts at 8pm on September 1 at the Railway Road club. Steward and LGS old boy Derek Robbins has further details.
