YOUNGSTERS are getting behind the microphone this summer as part of a youth project.
Connexions is offering teenagers the chance to take part in DJ workshops, have MC tuition and make pop vidoes.
The organisation, that offers help and advice to 13-to-19-year-olds, is supporting the Harmony Youth Project for young people from the Wordsworth Trading Estate in Halliwell.
The scheme covers everything from sports to arts projects and is popular with young people.
With modern equipment, recording studios, graphic design packages and video editing, children are being kept busy during the holidays.
Founder of Harmony, Charlie Barrett, said: "The support of Connexions is really important to us and we are able to put a lot more on for young people this summer.
Harmony was set up in 2001 by people who wanted to offer a new focus to young people and stop bad behaviour.
