NEARLY 60 guests were evacuated from a Blackrod hotel when a tumble dryer overheated and caught fire.
Firefighters were called to the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Manchester Road yesterday morning.
Before they arrived, staff doused the machine with buckets of water and removed burnt tea towels. Guests waited outside while firefighters made the tumble dryer safe.
