THE distraught family of a woman who died in an early morning car crash today described their grief at how their lives have been "changed forever."

Kathleen Robinson, aged 51, died after suffering multiple injuries when the Fiesta, in which she was a front seat passenger, swerved to avoid a car, which police said was on the wrong side of the road, and crashed into a parked car. The accident happened in Wigan Road, Deane at around 5.30am on Thursday.

Mrs Robinson was taken to the Royal Bolton Hospital with multiple injuries but lost her fight for life six hours later.

The driver of the Fiesta and a second passenger were not injured.

Mrs Robinson was on her way home from her job as a process worker at a local bakery.

Mrs Robinson, of St Peter's Terrace, Farnworth, was married to husband Keith. They have three children - Lee, Alison and Paul.

She also leaves four grandchildren: Ashley, aged 13; Jack, aged eight; Jessica, aged five; and Kimberley, aged two.

She was a keen gardener and was devoted to her family.

A family spokesman said: "Kath was a wonderful person who had time for anybody and she was never happier than when she was with her family.

"We still cannot come to terms with what has happened and our lives have been changed forever."

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.

Two 21-year-old men have been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. Dashty Jaff, of Marlbrook Walk, Great Lever and Kashif Ahmed, of Mancroft Avenue, Daubhill were both due to appear before Bolton magistartes this morning.
