THE director of a freight firm which ran up debts of an estimated £169,000 has been disqualified from company management for four years.
Kim Patricia Sumner, aged 38, of Hebble Close, Bromley Cross, has given an undertaking not to hold directorships after the haulage firm she ran was placed into liquidation and found guilty of tax irregularities.
Soundwell Limited, of Manor Sutton Street, Blackburn, tried to evade VAT payments worth more than £73,000 and gave to jobs to other directors already banned from working in business.
The ban stops Sumner being a director of a company or in any way, whether directly or indirectly, being concerned or taking part in the promotion, formation or management of a company.
