POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a 55-year-old man was attacked by two youths on a bus in Leigh.
The man caught the 551 service to Bolton at Leigh bus station at 9.45pm last Saturday night and his attackers got on about five minutes later in Lord Street.
The youths, who were drunk, spat at him and punched him in the face, leaving him with a gash on his forehead.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics.
