A BOLTON man has been arrested on suspicion of rape after a sex attack on a teenager.
The 17-year-old girl was walking home along Chorley Old Road, Horwich, after a night out at the Black Bull pub on Saturday when she was allegedly pulled down an alleyway and raped between 10.30pm and 11.30pm.
The alleged attacker then ran off.
Police released a description of a man and appealed for help from anyone who may have seen him.
Det Sgt John Fallows, Bolton CID, said: "This was a terrifying attack for a young girl who was making her way home after enjoying an evening out with friends."
A 23-year-old man was arrested after he went to Bolton police station and is due to be questioned by detectives on Tuesday.
