THE 60th Anniversary of the end of the Battle of Normandy will be marked in Bolton on Sunday with a parade and church service.
The Mayor of Bolton, Cllr Prentice Howarth, will join Normandy veterans, ex-servicemen and dignitaries to commemorate the occasion.
Led by a brass band , the parade will start at 10.15am with a march past the War Memorial in Victoria Square before continuing to Bolton Parish Church via Hotel Street, Deansgate and Churchgate.
Everyone is welcome to attend the service and the dedication of a commemorative plaque in the church gardens, which follows the service.
