I PRESUME all the rats have departed now the pigeons have gone from the town centre? What can we think of next to ban?

I worked with sick pigeons at the Greenmount Wild Bird Hospital and Sanctuary for 12 years, and brought home hundreds for one-to-one treatment. Neither myself nor any of my workmates ever suffered any ill effects, nor do I know of anyone who has. Some of the pigeons admitted were poisoned by garden pesticides, causing paralysis of the spine, legs and feet -- a horrible sight to see.
