THE lessons to be learned from the Shipman Inquiry will be the subject of a lecture at Bolton Institute by the High Court judge who headed it.
Bolton-born Dame Janet Smith will be back in her home town on September 28 to give the lecture: "The Shipman Inquiry - Trying to help the Aged." The invitation-only event has been organised by the new university and the charity Research into Ageing.
